This fall, the XReality Center is interested in partnering with faculty, programs, schools and administrative departments to develop and offer virtual teaching and learning initiatives that:
- Leverage immersive applications for teaching and learning
- Develop opportunities for extracurricular activities and social engagement
- Share expertise on providing access and facilitating immersive experiences
- Offer research and grant writing support for exploring immersive learning
These new options offer ways to complement and enhance a course and not necessarily teach the entire course in Virtual Reality. The XReality Center is looking for partners who are interested in piloting immersive experiences as part of the curricular and extracurricular activities. These applications can serve a variety of needs and purposes across courses and schools. The list on the website provides a starting point in this exploration.
The XReality Center will hold Open Houses to demonstrate immersive applications for curricular and extracurricular activities. To learn more about virtual spaces for teaching, showcasing and performances, attend one of the Open Houses on the following dates:
